The Black Sea Experts NucTalks is an initiative of the Black Sea Women in Nuclear Network (BSWN) established in August 2022, which incorporates educational and professional exchange on the most nuclear-relevant topics.

The distinctive feature of this initiative is its informal style of meetings to promote not only timely topics in the nuclear field but also experts from the Black Sea region and the Network. Any professional can join the Network and participate in NucTalks, independent of their knowledge, expertise, and country of origin or residency.

We aspire to gather every two months unless there is a need to address critical nuclear-related issues before, and to promote the following ideas:

to increase awareness
of a variety of issues,
news, and research

to share ideas and expertise
in arms control, nonproliferation,
nuclear safety, and security

to find friends of interest
and create new professional ties
in the nuclear community

Following the experts’ presentations, there is always a space for free discussion, during which all participants can freely ask questions and share their knowledge and thoughts on the topics discussed.

Currently, the NucTalk meetings are conducted online. However, with further growth and progress, we plan to organize annual in-person meetings for the most diligent participants to exchange knowledge and annual results in the nuclear field.
