The WINS Academy: Building nuclear security competencies
What is the WINS Academy?
As the first certified professional development programme for nuclear security management, the WINS Academy provides flexible learning opportunities for anyone wishing to build and enhance their knowledge of nuclear and radioactive source security.
The WINS Academy plays a vital role in helping meet the global commitments made by the IAEA Information Circular 901; “that management and personnel with accountability for nuclear security are demonstrably competent.”
Gain certification. Gain recognition.
Getting certified will distinguish you from your colleagues. Learners who successfully pass the fundamentals exam will receive a Certified Nuclear Security fundamentals Professional (CNSfP) designation. Learners who complete a specialisation exam will become a Certified Nuclear Security specialised Professional (CNSsP).
Certification and digital credentials (badges) provide professional credibility, enhanced recognition within the workplace, increased earning potential and job marketability and greater job mobility.
Explore the right pathway for you!
The WINS Academy offers two pathways: the fundamentals programme for anyone new to nuclear security for an overview of the field and a range of specialisation programmes for individuals wishing to broaden their knowledge of nuclear security. We offer programmes in English, Spanish, Ukrainian and Thai. To learn more about our programmes, please click here: https://www.wins.org/wins-academy
Get funded to learn with a scholarship
The WINS Academy offers fully funded scholarships for each programme. They include access to the online learning module, a textbook and an exam fee waiver.
Scholarships are reserved for selected participants from certain countries working in the nuclear security field. We also offer scholarships to women in nuclear security as part of our commitment to increase the number of women in the field. Applications can be made at: www.wins.org/scholarship/apply
