Join our First Regional Black Sea Women in Nuclear Network (BSWN) Conference, “Empowering Women in Nuclear—We All Can Do It!”
This BSWN conference is the first regional event that brings together a diverse range of members from the nuclear community.
We expect more than 100 participants from over 15 countries, including students of specialized specialties, public members and representatives of regulators, nuclear operators, universities to participate in this year’s BSWN conference.
The conference aims to promote global nuclear security principles and gender equality, to facilitate mentoring in the nuclear industry, to conduct regional research in nuclear security, and to ensure the peaceful development of the nuclear sector.
Among other topics, participants will discuss practical measures to empower women and girls in education and career development within the nuclear industry, explore new advanced nuclear technologies, highlight innovations in nuclear education, and other challenges and opportunities in the field.
The conference is organized in collaboration with Ovidius University and the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
The conference is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration’s (DOE/NNSA) Nuclear Security Women Initiative, administered by Los Alamos National Laboratory.
